What the law provides

The highly qualified category is defined by pedigree and practice: a degree from a university in the world’s top thousand and at least five years of professional experience. It is the system’s preferred lane — no employer permit, a one-BCV fee, three-year validity renewable without limit, temporary residence for the specialist and family for the term of the contract, and a 50 per cent reduction of personal income tax.
