What types of bank account can a company open in Uzbekistan?

Short answer

Demand, savings, term, metal, escrow and correspondent — plus anything else provided for.

DemandDemand deposit — the working account, payable on first request; this is what a company means by “our account” (Bank Accounts Instruction, Paras. 1–2 — lex.uz ↗)
SavingsSavings deposit — built from periodic contributions towards a stated purpose (Bank Accounts Instruction, Paras. 1–2 — lex.uz ↗)
TermTerm deposit — money placed for a fixed period agreed in the contract (Bank Accounts Instruction, Paras. 1–2 — lex.uz ↗)
MetalMetal account — for operations in precious metals (Bank Accounts Instruction, Paras. 1–2 — lex.uz ↗)
EscrowEscrow — the bank holds the depositor’s money and releases it to a beneficiary on the grounds set in the escrow contract; added to the instruction on 27 October 2025 (Bank Accounts Instruction, Paras. 1–2 — lex.uz ↗)
Corr.Correspondent accounts — between banks, not for a trading company (Bank Accounts Instruction, Para. 2 — lex.uz ↗)
What the law provides

Demand deposit accounts can be held in national and in foreign currency, and a company that earns abroad will normally hold both. Credit, leasing and transit accounts are outside this instruction altogether — they are governed by the bank’s own internal documents. (Bank Accounts Instruction, Paras. 5, 11 — lex.uz ↗)

Escrow is the one worth knowing about if you are buying something in Uzbekistan: it is now a named account type rather than a structure a bank improvises, which makes it markedly easier to ask for. (Bank Accounts Instruction, Para. 2 — lex.uz ↗)
