Ten things — the tax regime, VAT, a digital signature, a bank account application, a lease, cash registers and more.
The application form for a legal entity is not only a registration form. Alongside the company’s name, founders, address and activity, it carries a block of composite services the founder simply ticks: the taxation system — simplified or general — and voluntary VAT registration; issue of an electronic digital signature for the new company; an application to open and activate a bank account; the notification or application for a licence or permit where the activity needs one; execution of a real-estate lease with registration at the tax authorities; issue of the VAT payer’s certificate; contracting for and registering online cash registers; appointment of the director with the record in the unified national labour system; and registration as a participant in electronic public procurement. Two of them are worth deciding before the form rather than during it. The tax regime chosen here is the one the company starts on, and a new company that will exceed the turnover threshold or wants to reclaim input VAT may want the general regime from day one rather than a switch later. And the licence box is the point at which an activity that needs a permit declares itself — which is why the activity code chosen on the same form is not a formality.
